How To Prepare A Canadian Patent Office Application

If you are the first inventor, you will get patent at Canadian Patent Office. You cannot claim the patent, if the competing inventor files the papers first.

The application contains an abstract, a specification, and some drawings. Abstract is a short summary of specification contents. Specification contains: 1] Description of invention and 2] Patent protection limits.

The following patent information is required by Canadian Patent Office: 1] The crux of invention 2] Description of invention 3] Its objectives-Its advantage over other products.
4] At least one practical application 5] The unique features that distinguish the invention from other 6] Scope of invention for good result 7] Limitations of the invention. 8] Results of lab tests 9] Lists of relevant patents 10] Indication of disclosure 11] Name, address and citizenship 12] You want to file patent in which countries.

When the application is complete, the commissioner of patents has the right to grant you patent. This will be done after verification.

To receive official filing date, submit the things: 1] Statement about patent 2] Document which describes the invention. 3] Applicant name 4] Applicant address and 5] The required filing fee.

Ensure that description is proper otherwise your application will be returned.
